Welcome to "I'm a DevOps!"

It’s totally true…

… I read it online somewhere.

Hello and welcome to my personal blog all about DevOps! I have recently started a role in Technical Product Marketing Management and one of the primary responsibilities of that role is to “have a voice in the industry”. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you - I definitely have plenty of opinions on the IT industry and usually have no problems sharing those loudly and with much passion, but I have never really felt I needed to share that information broadly.

This blog, specifically, has a single purpose: To be a personal outlet for DevOps learnings and observations that are not really work-related, but more about my own journey navigating the DevOps/Lean/Agile/Etc space.

In that vein, I want to explore many of the buzzwords, the “new world order”, and the things I hear while talking to customers, analysts, practitioners, and friends in the industry. Most of this is going to be semi-unfiltered, so I would like to provide the following disclaimers and guidelines here:

  • The views portrayed in this blog in no way represent the views of any organization that I am working with or for.

  • I am very sensitive to companies’ information and will never share anything that can track back to an organization unless they specifically want to be called out.

  • This is meant to be a “safe space” - My opinions on the industry, technologies, and anything else are ALWAYS open to be changed. If I get something wrong (which I will… I am really good at this) just bear with me. Provide contructive feedback and I promise I will listen and process it and we can all grow together.

So, that’s the purpose, the goal, the disclaimer, etc. I truly hope I can provide some decent content to folks to help do my part to drive a better understanding of DevOps and all things that surround it. If you have some ideas on a collaboration project or articles that you would like to see represented here - please e-mail me and let me know.

Look forward to interacting with all of you in the future! Thanks for stopping by!
